Realistic Midjourney Self Portraits

Here's the secret:

1. Use a good frontal straight shot of your face.

2. Find an image of the style you're looking to achieve and remove the persons head from the photo. In this article I provide 3 example styles & prompts that you can use!

3. Start your prompt with: - Use the womans/mans face in the photo to create [...] then describe the photo you're putting your face into.

Use these images

I used a photo of me where my face was pretty straight and my eyes were looking forward then found a style I'd like to sport and asked Midjourney to put my face on that image.

You can also find your own images and use the /describe command in Discord. This way you can come up with your own prompts while following this basic guide.

It doesn't always come out super perfect, but I'm pretty happy with the results. Honestly, I've never been much of a selfie photo taker. I'm super picky about the backgrounds, how I look and I'm usually not happy with photo shoots. Or selfie shots. But with AI I'm able to choose cool styles, awesome backgrounds and the results are superb in my opinion.
